Two keys to sustained growth and achievement
** You must know yourself to grow yourself.
Self-knowledge is foundational to effective leading. If you have any hope of being an effective leader there are two principal things that you need to know of yourself. Two things that are pivotal to your peak performance as a leader.
These things will give you sustained focus and direction in your leadership. They give you an unrelenting determination, an indisputable authenticity and an undeniable voice. What are these two things? They are: Purpose and Passion.
As you lead from the platform and position that you have today, do it with passion from your known purpose. To be clear, I am not speaking of excitement. I can get excited about any good thing for a moment in time. But to be passionate about it is the work of a lifetime. It's a cause, a stirring in my soul, a calling, the thing that moves me to tears every time; my passion. If you can connect your current position with your passions and purpose, then you will overflow with productivity and increase your effectiveness. That's how you will grow yourself and your organization. There is a direct relationship between finding your passion and reaching your full potential.

You must commit to learning, understanding and knowing yourself. Without the power of walking passionately in purpose you severely limit your leadership potential.
Leadership potential is determined by your willingness to change and your desire to grow. But in what direction should you change in? In what areas do you need to grow? Knowing yourself, your purpose and passion are essential to your leadership.
